The metal skid plate is new and custom-designed for Chevrolet Kalos, compatible with all versions manufactured between 2004 and 2008. It protects the underside of the vehicle and sensitive components against impacts, stones, mud, dirt and road irregularities. The skid plate protects the following components: engine, gearbox, radiator, front bumper. Includes an opening for oil changes, so the skid plate does not need to be removed during maintenance. The skid plate is made from steel sheet with a thickness of 2 mm. Includes screws, spacers and all accessories required for installation. All skid plates are powder coated for corrosion protection, providing greater resistance and durability. The skid plates feature welded reinforcements to improve resistance against external impacts. |

Perfekte Passform, und auch alle zur Montage notwendigen Schrauben/Beilagen wurden mitgeliefert. Die Montage war in ein paar Minuten erledigt. Die (Pulver-) Beschichtung scheint sehr gut am Metall zu haften. Da ich auch viel auf Forstwegen unterwegs bin, wurde der originale Unterfahrschutz immer wieder durch Äste und Bewuchs, und im Winter durch Schnee- bzw. Eisklumpen beschädigt. Bei diesem Teil ist bisher noch nicht einmal die Beschichtung durchgescheuert. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass das Metallteil schwerer ist, als das orginale Kunststoffteil, aber dafür ist die Stabilität nicht zu vergleichen. Ich würde mich wieder für das Teil entscheiden!
